We are proud to announce that HyPrSpace, in partnership with Telespazio France and CT Engineering, has secured €35 million in funding for the PADA1 project, as part of the France 2030 call for proposals aimed at developing mini and micro-launchers.

The Agile Space Access Development Project – PADA1 – is a consortium led by HyPrSpace, with CT Engineering and Telespazio France as partners.

The project aims to deliver the detailed design of our OB-1 microlauncher and carry out the first flight of Baguette One, our suborbital launcher powered by the revolutionary hybrid propulsion technology we are developing.

Building on our success in the first France 2030 microlauncher call in 2022, we are continuing development of both the orbital launcher and suborbital vehicle within the PADA1 framework. The launch of Baguette One is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. These developments rely on our patented hybrid propulsion technology, which enables greener and more cost-effective access to space through breakthrough innovation.

As part of the PADA1 project, Telespazio France will leverage its experience in maintaining, planning, and operating the ground infrastructures under its responsibility at the Guiana Space Centre (Kourou) to develop a complete service offering — from launcher delivery at the factory to payload insertion into orbit. These operations, to be implemented for the first time during the Baguette One mission, will rely on ultra-mobile, autonomous, and standardized telemetry and telecom stations. This end-to-end service is fully tailored to the economic constraints and ambitions of micro-launchers, which must be launched rapidly, at competitive cost, and often from different spaceports.

CT Engineering will contribute to the consortium with its 30 years of expertise in launcher system design and optimization, as well as its skills in mission analysis and trajectory design.

This consortium targets three major objectives:

  • Provide sovereign and sustainable access to space for small satellites
  • Innovate with greener and more competitive propulsion technologies
  • Strengthen France’s competitiveness in the mini and micro-launcher sector

“The recognition of our PADA1 project by the France 2030 program confirms the transformational potential of our hybrid technology. We are honored by this opportunity and committed to strengthening France’s position as a global space leader.”
Alexandre Mangeot, CEO of HyPrSpace

“PADA1 marks a key step in Telespazio France’s strategy to become a launch operator for micro-launchers. We're excited to make this ambition real alongside our partner HyPrSpace during the Baguette One launch. We believe our value-added service will appeal to many industry players.”
Corinne Mailles, Deputy CEO, Telespazio France
